Design & Build
The ULTRA PLATINUM employs a model-specific version of Critical Mass Systems’ patented dual-zone, 12-stage damping system. Three fixed damping plates are positioned at the platform’s base, component-supporting surface and the interior plate immediately below it. Eight additional internal damping stages are arranged in groups above and below an elastomer that lowers the system’s natural frequency.
Precisely calculated layers of aluminium alloy, copper alloy and acrylic damping material are combined with the elastomer to shape resonance and maintain balanced energy transfer. The damping system is manufactured to tolerances measured in thousandths of an inch and tuned specifically for the ULTRA PLATINUM architecture.
System Pairing
The ULTRA PLATINUM is suitable for turntables, digital sources, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers, power supplies and power-conditioning components.
It can be integrated into compatible Critical Mass Systems racks or specified as a dedicated component platform. Flexible dimensions and optional higher load capacities allow the platform to accommodate a broad range of high-end audio equipment.
