Design & Build
The ULTRA DIAMOND is built around Critical Mass Systems’ patented dual-zone, 12-stage damping system. Three fixed damping plates are positioned at the platform’s base, component-supporting surface and interior plate beneath the supporting surface. Eight additional internal damping stages are arranged in groups above and below an elastomer that lowers the system’s natural frequency.
Precisely calculated layers of aluminium alloy, copper alloy, acrylic and elastomeric materials shape mechanical resonance while maintaining structural rigidity. Individual damping elements are manufactured to tolerances measured in thousandths of an inch.
System Pairing
The ULTRA DIAMOND is designed for vibration-sensitive analogue and digital components, including turntables, digital sources, preamplifiers, integrated amplifiers, power amplifiers and power conditioners.
It may be integrated into compatible Critical Mass Systems racks or used as a dedicated isolation platform where its dimensions and load capacity suit the component. Flexible sizing and optional higher load limits accommodate a wide range of high-end audio equipment.
