Design & Build
The MAXXUM-ULTRA applies Critical Mass Systems’ thermodynamic approach to vibration management through a rack and shelf system engineered to function as a unified structure. Rather than treating the equipment shelf as an isolated accessory, its architecture addresses vibration originating in the floor, rack, shelf and audio component simultaneously.
Each exclusive MAXXUM-ULTRA shelf employs an aluminium-alloy framework and two independent six-stage damping zones. The upper and lower zones each contain a 21-layer constrained sandwich, with multiple structural and damping materials arranged to provide rigidity while controlling unwanted mechanical energy.
System Pairing
Originally engineered around the demanding isolation requirements of turntables, the MAXXUM-ULTRA is equally suited to digital sources, preamplifiers, power amplifiers and power-conditioning components.
Its made-to-order architecture accommodates individual amplifier platforms, conventional vertical equipment racks and wider side-by-side systems. Custom vertical spacing and optional higher load capacities allow each installation to be configured around the owner’s equipment.
