Design & Build
Grandiosso represents the fullest expression of Fono Acustica’s conductor, dielectric and mechanical-control philosophy. Developed as a limited-edition collection for the company’s 15th anniversary, it applies a cost-no-object approach to the two cables that carry the greatest electrical and mechanical energy in an audio system: the speaker cable and AC power cord.
The collection is offered with several premium conductor configurations, including genuine UPOCC silver, UPOCC copper, a silver-and-gold hybrid and pure flat silver. Each option provides a different balance of conductivity, mechanical behaviour and tonal character, allowing Grandiosso to be tailored to the requirements of a reference system.
Application-specific cable geometries, extensive shielding and carefully controlled mechanical construction help suppress external interference and manage vibration within the cable. Custom terminations complete each cable, with every Grandiosso individually assembled and finished by hand in Spain.
System Pairing
Grandiosso is intended for statement-level audio systems in which every component, connection and installation detail has been optimized. The speaker cables are designed for reference power amplifiers and loudspeakers, while the power cords can be used with source components, preamplifiers, power conditioners and high-current power amplifiers.
Standard EU and US power-cord configurations are available alongside a dedicated 20 A version for components using high-current IEC inlets. Because Grandiosso cables employ substantial conductors and elaborate mechanical construction, sufficient clearance should be provided behind equipment and loudspeakers for their natural bend radius.
The different conductor options also allow Grandiosso to be selected according to system requirements. Final conductor configuration, termination and length should therefore be confirmed when ordering.
