Design & Build
The HB-N1 inherits the sculpted form and instrument-building philosophy of Kiso Acoustic’s HB-series loudspeakers. Its cabinet is manufactured by the craftsmen of Takamine Gakki using techniques developed for fine acoustic instruments.
Thin solid-mahogany panels are shaped into a curved enclosure that controls resonance through carefully positioned internal braces rather than conventional damping material. The crossover is installed within the laminated-maple base, helping isolate its components from magnetic fields and airborne vibration.
System Pairing
With 87 dB sensitivity and a nominal six-ohm impedance, the HB-N1 can be partnered with high-quality tube or solid-state amplification. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for intimate listening spaces while its 40 Hz–30 kHz specified range allows it to serve as the main loudspeaker in a carefully configured full-range system.
Kiso Acoustic’s optional PODIUM STAND positions the speaker at the intended listening height. A single centre-channel version can also be produced by special order for multichannel installations.
